Edit Space's Home Page does not work

Hello.
We have setup a trial Confluence server 6.2.3 and created 2 spaces there already.
First space is the "Demonstration Space" and a second one was created from template type "Team space".

Now, we tried to customize the home page of any of those spaces.
Both spaces appear as "unrestricted" and we tried as "system admin" and as regular confluence-user.

Anyhow, each time clicking the "Edit" button on the home page, the editor view appears, with no content + the (stopped) circling lifesign + a popup window with this message appears:
"This page is taking longer to load than usual. Give it a few moments, then try refreshing. Still having issues? Contact your Confluence admin."

And, whatever we do, we never succeed in editing the home page.

Just found out, that creating a new page, initially allows editing, but after the second (edit) on such a page, we can observe the same behaviour (editor does not respond) on such pages as well.

Anyone a good hint what might cause this?

Since i have received a session timout error once, we have increades the session and socket timeouts already to 2 min (120000ms).

B.t.w.. There's also nothing in any of the logfiles indicating an issue.

Klaus, I saw your support case and it looks like we created a suggestion to prevent the issue from coming up in the future: Set Synchrony Java temp directory by default to be Confluence temp directory.

For anyone else seeing the issue, the fix is outlined in Editor fails to load in Confluence 6.x due to 'Could not initialize class org.xerial.snappy.Snappy' error
