I want to make the export to pdf.
1) Russian letters are displayed with "?"
2) There is no Russian text in the finished pdf file.
Please, help!
Hi there,
Had you considered using an app to export your Confluence content to PDF?
Scroll PDF Exporter would allow you to export your Russian text from your Confluence page(s) to PDF format. Additionally, the app will also allow you to apply your own styling and formatting preferences so that the resulting PDF export has the desired look and feel you require.
If you are interested, you can find out further information regarding our app on the Atlassian Marketplace (you can also start a free trial here). Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
Cheers, Thomas (K15t Software)

Yes, CONFSERVER-45192 is the bug I found Wednesday: Non Latin characters are not displayed in Custom Export to PDF page. Please vote or comment on the bug report to help the development team measure the severity/customer impact. Doing so will add you to notifications so you may see when there is progress.

Give me please the exact link, where do I need to describe the problem with "?" when exporting to pdf.
The second problem with the lack of Russian letters in the finished PDF file, I seem to have decided to add a font from the folder %windir%\fonts in the "PDF Export Language Support". It's strange that no one has suggested this to me from your support.

As mentioned in Configuring Database Character Encoding, Confluence and your database must be configured to use the same character encoding. Issues with rendering Russian characters in exports could be caused by a mismatch.
If you have admin privileges on the instance, please try the encoding test from Troubleshooting Character Encodings:
I look forward to hearing what you find.

The test performed (above). It seems that it is successful. What could be the problem?

In the meantime you might try exporting to another format or evaluate one of the PDF add-ons on the Atlassian Marketplace.
