When using the gallery macro, the slideshow images open in their original canvas sizes ... this is fine except that when the images are e.g. oriented differently (portrait vs. landscape) or they are different resolution/canvas size then the arrows to scroll the slideshow are always in a different spot.
You can see what I mean at the Confluence Documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Gallery+Macro the final image is portrait orientation and the scroll arrows are now closer to the centre of the window than before.
I realise we can workaround by using arrow keys on the keyboard but it would be nice to give a single consistent location for the mouse to click to scroll all the way through in one direction too.

That's an interesting observation.
Must be annoying when you're going through a bunch of images.
Open a feature request in jira.atlassian.com for the Confluence project. Maybe they can make a fix-sized frame around the images so the navigation buttons wont move.
