×Hello guys,
i have a question about the gliffy diagrams license.
When a company buys a Gliffy License, can you also use it for its affiliates?
Thx for help
Berthold
Hi Berthold,
If you purchase a Gliffy license, you would purchase either the Gliffy for Confluence license, or the Gliffy for JIRA license, depending on what product you want to use it in. If you want to use it in both, you would need to purchase a license for each. Atlassian treats Confluence and JIRA as separate products.
If you have further questions or if that is not what you are referring to, feel free to drop us a note at support@gliffy.com.
Thanks!
Katy

Hi Katy
Thanks for your quick answer!
Let me explain my question more detailly : if there is a company on top of a company group, which has several affiliates and this big company buys a Gliffy License. Can the affiliates use it too or just the parent company?
Thx for help
Berthold

HI Berthold,
If they use the same Confluence/JIRA instance then anyone who has access to it can use the Gliffy plugin if they have the proper attachments permissions. Licenses cannot be transferred across instances as far as we know.
There appears to be an answer similar to this here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/10414614/multiple-instances-of-jira-under-a-single-license
Per Atlassian, "The short answer is that you can not use the same license in more than one production instance."
If you have further questions about that we would recommend contacting Atlassian since they handle all the licensing directly since 2013.
Thanks!

Hi Katy,
thank you for your answer! So in other words: It all depends on the confluence Instance? If the affiliates have the same Instance, they can use the license?

If they use the same instance they can use the same license.
For questions about how the licensing works and how they can be used, please contact Atlassian at support.atlassian.com or review their FAQ's: https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/purchase-licensing
