How do I add a label to a specific section on a page?

I see documentation on adding labels to a page, BUT I don't see how to add a label to a specific section. If it can be done, great, tell me. If it can't be done, that's fine, we can leave it there. Thanks!

No, labels apply to pages. 

Sections are intended for formatting, not delineating content.

We too are in need of this functionality! Now we invent complex workarounds to achieve exactly this. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.

No, labels still apply to pages.

Confluence Cloud doesn't have sections any more, so there's no way this could be done, even with an app.
