How to link to anchor on the same page in Confluence 5.9

I am trying to create links to anchors within the same page but when I click the link nothing happens.

Any idea why my links to anchors within the same page would not be working?

Are you by chance using the Documentation Theme in this space? If yes switch to the Default Theme.

Yes we are using the Documentation Theme and when I change it to the Default Theme the links work correctly. We were hoping to use the Documentation Theme.

I found that when I have the link set as #bottom and click on it, it shows the correct URL but does not go there. When I take the URL 'http://confluence:8090/display/TSF/Page+to+test+links+to+anchors#Pagetotestlinkstoanchors-bottom' and put that in as the link, it works when the theme is set to documentation. Do you have any idea why this is happening and do you know if this is an issue that is going to be fixed?

I have no idea why this is happening and i think that it won't be fixed as the Documentation Theme is deprecated.

In our Confluence we simply switched to the Default Theme and configured the sidebar to look mostly equal to that in the Documentation Theme.
