I created a user documentation space. It naturally has a dashboard page that is useful when users access the space on line, but meaningless when the space is exported to PDF.
When I export the space to PDF, it is possible to do a custom export and un-tick the dashboard page to get a nice PDF. Still, this is somewhat inconvenient. Further, not exporting the dashboard page seems common enough that it should even be the default.
Is there a way to set a page so it is always skipped when exporting a space to PDF?
You could apply a user restriction to pages, then log in as that user to generate the PDF.
Hi all,
At the moment, users can export to PDF the page they are viewing. However, they cannot export the full wiki or even some pages by "one-click" (as administrators do).
So, is there a way for "standard" users to such a thing? Maybe with a specific macro?
Thanks in advance,
Nicolas

Short answer: No
What you can do, has already been said:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Go to Space Tools -> Content Tools -> Export. Select PDF. Then click Custom Export and only select the pages that you want to export to PDF (Exclude the dashboard page).

You can use show-if and hide-if macros around content in a page to allow or prevent content appearing in a PDF, but you cannot prevent a page from appearing in PDF (except when unmarking a page from a Space PDF Export).

Yes, I have studied that page. Could you be more specific about where it tells how to skip a page?

Hey John,
Not sure if you have stumbled into this documentation:

I believe this should answer your questions.
Cheers,
