We are evaluating Confluence and not sure if this is the right forum to ask:
- Drag directly from Outlook and drop on Confluence: we realize files can readily be dragged from the desktop to Confluence. But we looking for a solution where dragging can be initiated from within Outllook folders and the email message be dropped directly on a Confluence space og page.
Hi,
how can this be handled? Is it possible to drag directly from Outlook?
thx
I'd love to hear too if it's possible!

Hi, you can achieve the functionality of searchable emails, unfortunately not out-of-the-box. If your emails are attached to confluence pages (drag and drop), it can be added to the search index via a additional plugin. This must contain an specialized extractor which can read the email content.
But with this, the emails not shown directly in the page.
Hope this helps to to take a step forward!

it's late to the game but we found that you can do this only with Chrome. However, you still cannot go from confluence to email attachment without saving first as this will just put the link in outlook. the feature would be tremendously time saving especially when working with vendors who are not in our instance and also to avoid local versions of files.

We do realize, it is entirely possible to drag and drop a file which could be a MS Outlook message file but this only stores as an (unsearchable?) attachment.
