Is it possible to have "preview" be the default when you click on an attachment in the Attachments macro?

In Confluence 5.8, I love how when you click on an attachment, it goes into the preview view where you can view a slide deck at full screen, add comments, upload new versions, etc...

However when you use the Attachments macro, it seems like you can only download the attachment, or use the old tiny window preview.  Is there any way to have the attachments macro default to "preview", and then have a separate link for downloading the file?
