Is there a way to access Confluence without using a web browser?

Hello!

There are some groups/teams that prefer not to use a web browser to access their data. Is there an alternate option that can be used and/or a way around this that can be implemented?

You can also use webdav to access pages. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Configuring+a+WebDAV+client+for+Confluence

Yup, use the REST interface.
