Link to Confluence Page fails due to permissions

I am trying to provide the customers in Jira service desk a direct link to the main page in confluence.

When the customer clicks on it, it takes the user to the Atlasssian login page. 

However, when the customer searches for something in the search bar - the resulting page can be accessed.

Any idea how I can allow my customers to go straight to the confluence page?

Do you have anonymous access set up at the "Space" level for Confluence? Take a look at both your Global and Space level permissions.
