Links within PDF document preview window not working

Shane Arnold October 5, 2016

Since upgrading to Confluence Server 5.10.4, links within a PDF document are not functional when being viewed via the built-in previewer. The PDF documents are working outside of Confluence as expected.

This affects all PDF documents when previewed, including newly generated PDF documents.

This was working in Confluence 4.3.

Expected Behaviour: Links within PDF Preview windows should be clickable

Supporting Information:

Browsers Tested: Internet Explorer 10, Internet Explorer 11, Chrome 53.x

Element Inspection of text that should be a clickable link.

<div data-font-name="Helvetica" data-angle="0" data-canvas-width="328.8792" style="position: absolute; left: 410.203px; top: 333.301px; font-size: 16.6px; font-family: sans-serif; transform: rotate(0deg) scale(1.00398, 1); transform-origin: 0% 0% 0px;">spreadsheet pulled from TRIM D14/0398340</div>

Empty LinkLayer DIV

<div class="linkLayer"></div>
