Hi, this is Philip from APTIS (Vendor of Epic Sum Up).
We do this using the Progress Bars of our App Epic Sum Up. Here's how it works:
To track costs you first need to create two custom fields with the first one being the value you want to track e.g. Sound Rental Cost and the second one being the related budget. Using these custom fields you can create an Epic Sum Up Progress Bar that tracks the cost and budget at the same time.
Here is an example of cost tracking using the App:
In this case the field Project Revenue acts as the budget (seen as a black marker on the Progress Bar) and the Overall Cost is the individual cost of each issue or element you want to track.
