Hello,
when IE-Users open via hyperlink a pdf-file that has german umlauts or special characters in the filename a dialog is shown, that the filetype is unknown. This is an old problem. We could not rename the files themself. Is it possible to say via markup of the hyperlink that the filename should be encoded with UTF-8?
Thanks,
Martin
Hi Martin,
Indeed, it's a known Confluence bug (reported here: CONF-23778). The workaround is to install a font that would support the special characters, as described in this Knowledge Base article. To do that:
Hope this helps :)
Dora
Hi Dora,
unfortunately this is not my problem. I have a problem when i open a pdf-document e.g. "Hänschen.pdf" then the IE (which is the only allowed browser) shows a dialog, that the filetype is unknown. My question is, if i could manipulate the hyperlink in confluence via markup.
Thanks
Martin
