Can you set your confluence notifications to go to hipchat?

Is there a way to set your notifications that you would normally get via email to go to your hip chat account either additionally or instead of?

Thanks for the feedback, I had read that article, however I was wondering if I am a watcher on a space or page and an update occurred, that I would be able to get that notification in a HipChat notification to me (Confluence send chat notification to me).   Email starts to get out of hand and a chat bot would be nice as an alternative.

I don't know if it makes sense for us to create a room for every space we have in Confluence.  We will play around with it and see...

At this time, only room notifications are possible.

I found a feature request which requests for notifications to go to specific users. I believe this is what you want to accomplish.

Could you please vote on that to help show how many users are interested? It hasn't had a lot of interest, so any comments and votes will help.

Hi Michela,

There's a built-in integration you can use between Hipchat and Confluence. You can read more about it here:

• Use Hipchat and Confluence Together

The entry on Marketplace says that certain actions will be posted, such as page edits, etc.

I would recommend giving that a try and if there's any notification that doesn't appear to be available or working properly, please let us know and we can look into it for you.
