×Hello:
Updated SSL certs for Confluence and Jira and everything seemed OK. Application links on both systems report connected and no browser warnings / errors navigated around each service's portals.
A few weeks later, it was discovered that Confluence was failing updating it's User Directory from Jira. (We use Jira for handling user management for Confluence and other Atlassian tools.)
Doing a manual test gets the error below.
Test basic connection : Failed org.apache.http.conn.ConnectTimeoutException: Connect to <jira ip>:443 [/<jira ip>] failed: Read timed out
Certs are self signed and in the past, SAN contained server IP, new ones issued no longer do.
I've played around massaging the cert, using different element configurations in server.xml, removing adding in cert in cacerts files.
Looking for other areas to check because I'm fresh out of ideas.
Jira 8.13.1
Confluence 7.11.4
Both running on Windows Server 2012
I recommend you open a ticket with atlassian support and provide the support zip files for analysis.
Regards
Thanks Fabian.
I had the certs reissued with server IP and that fixed the issue.
