Change permissions in Confluence Server with rest-api

We need to add permissions on all spaces in our Confluence server and cant find any documentation about this. I see some old information about this but nothing that works with confluence 6+.
Version: 6.7.2 Confluence Server

I should have been more detailed, I need to use the rest-api because its more than 500 spaces.
