Hey Benjamin,
At first glance, I would say that this error is caused by the java.net.SocketTimeoutException: timeout and possible root causes are:
The remote application is in deadlock. |
|
There is a network connection problem. |
|
More specifically:
What we need to make sure is that your Internet connection from the Confluence Server host is stable, not blocked by a firewall / some network policy enforcing software and try migration one more time.
Let me know how this goes for you, and if this is still not working, we can open a support case where you can attach the Support zip file and we can have a look over the server logs.
Cheers,
Ramona
The server has full access to the internet directly without a proxy server. Is it the connection the cloud confluence that is the issue? or does the cloud confluence need to connect into our hosted server?

Yes, not the Confluence Cloud, but the plugin will need to connect to your server site in order to access the server database and extract the space details.
If you haven't checked before, can you please make sure that you have allowed these domains for Atlassian Cloud and related services:
Also, worth mentioning, is that the user from the server and from the cloud has to have the same email address, to be a site-admin in both sites and to have administrator and export access for the spaces that you want to migrate.

Hey Benjamin,
Definitely! I've submitted a new support case in your name and you should have received a confirmation.
We'll confirm the meeting details in the private case, it will really help me if prior to the meeting, you can create the Confluence server support zip file and upload the zip file to the support case.
You can create this file from Confluence go to Settings > General Configuration > Troubleshooting and support tools (under Administration) and should provide us with more details and a caused by statement for this error.
Cheers,
Ramona

Can we setup a webex or google hangout to go over this? I see no errors in the logs or anything so I don't know what it is doing.
