We are using Comala Metadata and Comala Document Management plugin.
We use Comala Document Management to set metadata on a page. Let us suppose we have pages with the metadata as shown in the screenshot.
What we want to achieve is to retrieve the pages based on these metadata (can be more than one conditions in the search criteria). For instance, one of the possible scenarios is to retrieve all the pages where the "Live Date" >= '2020-01-01' and "Live Date" <= '2020-12-31' and "Directorate" = 'Application'. Then, we will process the search results further to produce a custom report.
We have looked into the Comala Metadata plugin documentation, there seems to be no solution to our use case.
We have looked into Confluence JAVA APIs (one of it was CQLSearchService) documentation on how to get pages based on custom property but to didnt find a sample where we can pass metadata (custom property) in the search query.
Any idea how to can achieve this?
Cheers,
Priska
Unfortunately Comala Metadata does not currently support your use case.
You may want to explore Communardo Metadata https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213690/metadata-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview. You can integrate Comala Document Management and Communardo Metadata - https://wiki.comalatech.com/display/CDML/Communardo+Metadata+for+Confluence+app. However currently we do not support setting Communardo Metadata with a workflow.
If you need any further help, please don't hesitate to contact me here or get in touch with our friendly support team at https://support.comalatech.com

Hi @Priska Aprilia ,
I am Juela, the Product Owner of Metadata for Confluence.
As James already mentioned, you can integrate Metadata for Confluence with Comala Document Management.
Metadata for Confluence supports the scenario that you described. You can build custom reports with it.
However as James mentioned in his comment, currently setting Communardo Metadata with a workflow is not supported.
If you are interested I would be happy to schedule a short meeting together where I can show you how Metadata can help you build the scenario you described.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Kind Regards,
Juela
