We are using Confluence for product documentation for an external audience. Customers have view access only. When a new customer needs access, we create the user account (actual name and email address) and have Confluence send an email to the user, asking them to log on and create their own password.
But the email text does not at all describe what the recipient can do in Confluence:
Is there any way to modify the email message (even just delete the two middle paragraphs)?
Thanks,
Dorte
Does anyone know how to update the default "account creation" text? The account creation message below is embedded in a template, is there a way to update the text? Thanks.
Hello.
In administration area (so you need to have administrator permissions),you can change the default values of the emails. You can find it in the Default User Preferences

Hi Jose,
Thanks for your answer.
I do have admin permissions but struggle to find the option you refer to. Could you please be more specific?
Thanks,
Dorte
