Hi all,

I would like to do the same.

How can I display a single page property value from a page properties macro?

The page property report macro displays all of them in a table. I just need to get the value of one specific property.

Any idea? Can it be done with a user macro and Groovy?

Best regards,
George

Hi @George Lewe (LSY) ,

We can suggest trying our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.

You'll be able to wrap your Page Properties Report into the Table Filter macro and show only the required row(s). And you may also hide the unwanted columns as well.

Hi Katerina,

thanks. We have the plugin already. However, I cannot make it work the way I like. It seems I always need to add a header row to make the filtering work and I cannot hide the header row then.

Is there a documentation about this specific use case?

Can I refer to a property of page A on page B?

Best regards,
George

Yes, you are right - you can't hide the header row if you need to filter something.

Maybe the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros will do the trick?

Wrap the data in the required cell into the Table Excerpt macro:

Then you'll be able to reuse this data via the Table Excerpt Include macro:

Thu 5-2.png

If your Confluence instance is Server/Data Center, the source table with the Table Excerpt macro can be also wrapped in the Page Properties macro to create your big report that you've mentioned before. Unfortunately, for Cloud you can't nest several macros.

Hi Jeff,

Can you describe more exactly what you are looking to display? Is it a specific variable you want to set and display on more than one page? Can you confirm your Confluence version as well?

Regards,
Shannon

Dear Sharon,

I'm on confluence server 6.5.1.

I want to display a property from the page itself within the page itself, and only one property's value..

I'm not using the properties macro, as I do not want to display them all and also apply some style with a user macro.

Thanks for your feedback.

 Jeff

Hi Jeff,

The Excerpt Include Macro would allow you to include an excerpt from elsewhere on the page.

If this doesn't help, could you be a bit more specific about what kind of property you need to include?

Regards,

Shannon
