Embedded searchable PDF

Hello,

I am searching for a method to embed a searchable PDF-File into a Page. Just open the file on the page, press "[CRTL] + F" and go, but I can't find an Add-On which contains the search function.

I know you could donwload the file and search via browser or pdf-reader but this workaround isn't an acceptable option.

Hi, MartnH.

If you mean you can't search for words via CTRL+F while *previewing* the attachment on its page, then it's expected for the feature to not work. We have this behaviour currently logged as a feature request in the following report:

You may the following as an alternative:

• In your preferred browser, lookup the Find menu in your browser options and select it

Thank you for the fast responding, but it's kinda inconvenient to be honest. Would you tell me the reason for not implement this feature?
