1. I would like to see the epic link and estimate fields visible when I try to create a task in JIRA from confluence.
2. As of now I can only see Project Name, Issue Type, Summary and Description.
When i read the blogs it says mark the fields as Required in JIRA filed configurations. However the fields like Assignee, Epic Link etc do not even have these options.
Currently the 'create issue' feature in confluence is only limited to the fields you mentioned.
There is an open support request for Atlassian to extend this feature. I can't find it at the moment.
Hi @Smita and @Thomas Fraser,
I think this is the one: Ability to map more fields from a Confluence table into a JIRA issue when highlighting and creating issues - but unfortunately it has been in the "Not being considered" status since February 2018.

Thank you for the quick response. It is sad that everything that is useful or widely asked is somehow not implemented in the tool and Atlassian always redirects you to some or the other plugin!

However in this demo video I noticed that they have many other fields and Link to Epic option. I am not even getting that : is there a way to enable it?

Hi @Smita, you get the "Link to epic" checkbox when an epic is already linked to the Confluence page - just add a Jira macro linking to an epic :)

Oh, now I See it, However can I link multiple epics to the Confluence page and see multiple epic names in the Create Issue pop up?

Hmm I haven't tried to do so, you can try it and tell us if it works! :)

I tried and it did not work.. If I link multiple epics to the Confluence page, the option to link the issues to an epic will not even appear.
This tool is driving me crazy :(

Hi @Smita,
I understand your frustration! A feature request about that was raised: Allow Users to Select an Epic to Link New Stories but unfortunately Atlassian replied they "have no plans to implement it in the foreseeable future".
Confluence users usually create one page per epic, so that they get a smaller table for their stories. Would that work for you?

Hi @Manon
It helps to understand why certain things are designed in such a way but when I go back and explain the same to someone else from the team, it gets extremely difficult to convince or make one understand.
Thank you for the answer :)
