Hello,
I am getting ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED on Centos 7.
After creating the database, the user etc, I was able to successfully connect to the database. I installed confluence with the installer (bin file) and went to the webpage to setup my licence and prepare the database. I entered my database credentials, I successfully connected the database and click next. I had a message saying that confluence was configuring the database and it could take a while. After couple of minute, the webpage went to "
vpsxxxxx.vps.ovh.ca refused to connect.
I do not know what to do. please can I get some help
This is usually a browser error, rather than server.
Could you try clearing cookies and cache, and restarting the browser? (I've seen this fix Chrome connections to web applications)
thanks for the reply. it does not work. I tried connecting on three different web browsers. same results

Ahh, that old favourite. It's usually an incompatible JVM being installed on the machine being picked up incorrectly or that the wrong user has been used to start Confluence (or the right one after a previous start by the wrong one)
But the full list is at https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/confluence-does-not-start-due-to-spring-application-context-has-not-been-set-218278311.html

thank you. I just don't understand. nothing in this article helps.
I have to deal whit linux centos. it is disappointing that Atlassian does not offer a comprehensive guide to install their products and for clients who paid for their products.

That article gives a list of the most of the reasons
I'm afraid we can't help you with the error you have because 99% of the time, it's going to be caused by an item on that list. All we would do is take you through the same list of potential causes. The reason you are having it is likely to be because you've got something wrong when following the comprehensive installation guide to installing confluence at https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-installation-guide-135681.html

Yes it could be memory, as described in the docs we've pointed you to (it might not be memory, but we can't know until you have gone through the docs)

I posted a step by step procedure to use confluence on centos. I guess two gb of memory was not enough
