Hello,
We are currently using confluence in conjunction with directory : LDAP server.
I wonder if it is possible to map upper and lower directories between organizations (groups) in confluence.
For example, if we have A(high) > B(medium) > C(low) organization,
1-C(group) is in B(group) and B(group) is in A(group).
2-Permission granted to A(group) to automatically obtain permission for B and C
Hi @Thomas K
Your description sounds like nested groups, which is supported by Confluence and other Atlassian products.
Please check Managing Nested Groups and let us know if that's what you are looking for.
Kind regards,

Q-1. Are you any easier way than to inherit the group by hand?
Q-2. Is performance overloaded when using nested groups?
Q-3. Are there any areas (disadvantages) that we should consider when using nested groups?

Confluence just reads the groups and users from the user directories.
Does group C have permission to do X?
Does LDAP tell Confluence that members of group C are also in B and A?
