Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I am trying to copy a page (and its children) from one Confluence server to another.
By way of example:
I have backed up sites before with XML and thought this would work. However, the import failed because the Key for Server A / Space I conflicts with an existing Key for Server B / Space III.
The Servers are behind different firewalls / VPN's so I cannot easily use my local computer's clipboard to copy / paste.
Suggestions?
You can create a temporary space and move the pages in the space and then take back up of that space.
On the target server recover this space. Once the pages are on your target server then you can move them to any other space.

Alternatively you can use Bobswift Run CLI Actions or Confluence CLI to achieve the same with single command.
See the link below :
https://bobswift.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSOAP/pages/10584068/Reference#Reference-copyPage
This action has target server as command parameter which can be used in copying page from one server to other.

Seems that I need to enforce a unique key to the temporary space to ensure that it does not conflict with spaces in Server A (export server) or Server B (importing server).
It did not appear that one can change the key after a Space has been created.
