Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×Currently all notifications from confluence system are sent with a defined system from mail-Address based on following page:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf713/configuring-a-server-for-outgoing-mail-1077914555.html
Is there a possibility to send mails from confluence with the real mail address of the users. E.g. usecase: a user shares a page and someone wants to reply by mail to the shared page currently the mail will be sent to the "no reply" address of the system and not to the user who shared.
@Gerrit Berberich It is not possible to have emails going out of Confluence to come from the specific users who made a change to the page or posted a comment. The information coming out of Confluence via email is really a notification and users should use the application to collaborate. This way everyone associated with the page would get the update and anyone viewing the page would be able to see the updates.
@Brant Schroeder , thanks for your quick answer. Yes, that's basically also what I thought but we had this request also from Users I wanted to share.
