Hello,
I'm trying to set up Confluence with IIS Reverse Proxy. I followed the guide at https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/proxying-atlassian-server-applications-with-microsoft-internet-information-services-iis-833931378.html completely. However, I'm still running into some issues.
My custom URL (confluence.mycompany.com) is working, and I can log in. However, when I log in, the dashboard items such as "All Updates" section doesn't load. When I click on the "..." next to "Create" button on the top menu, a dialog opens and says "user.session.timed.out". When I look at the network tab of my Chrome, I see many 404 pages. Below are a few examples of those 404 requests.
I've made following changes:
I'm not sure what else I'm missing. I've been at this for several hours now. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Please check that you followed everything here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/proxying-atlassian-server-applications-with-microsoft-internet-information-services-iis-833931378.html
If you follow all of these steps it should work for you. What you are describing sounds like the url is not setup properly either in Confluence (Base URL) or in the configuration of the server.xml or on the IIS proxy.
Brant,
Thanks for the reply.
I've been going through that guide several times.
I have Base URL and server.xml set up correctly. I'm sending screen shots below. I also think IIS is set up correctly. Otherwise, I wouldn't think I would be able to log in. Right now, I'm able to log in and go to the setting areas, and etc. I simply cannot create any pages and my dashboard doesn't load; I assume because of those few 404 errors in my browser's network tab.

From what you shared the issue looks like it is in IIS and that the proxy is not setup properly. Can you double check all of your IIS settings.
