Hi,
I uploaded an Excel file on a page. The file is displayed using the Excel macro.
Now I want to create a second page and show the same Excel file without upload the file again, but with fewer columns.
After limiting the columns, nothing happened. The Excel stayed the same.
Is it possible to display an Excel file on another page, or does it always copy the file from the original file?
Second problem is that if I restrict the page permissions, means a certain group of people may only view the page, then the people can not see the Excel and get error message.
Thanks for helping,
Anna
Hi @Anna Antretter welcome to community
I could totally reproduce your problem (looked great on the first step, after returning to page all columns were shown again) - I'm sorry but I don't think that this will be fixed cause view file macros are not supported anymore (for over a year now) -> https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-39829
You are right depending restrictions.
Maybe have a look on addons which may help you https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=confluence&query=excel
thanks for your quick answer!
It's sad to hear that this will not be fixed...
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll have a look at it.

Maybe you could try to hide some columns of the Excel macro with Table Filter macro Hide Columns filter.

Thank you for the hint!
We will try the free version and will see how it works.

The free version (1.5.2) is quite old and has only two filter types: single select and free text. But you can get free evaluation license and see if it is useful for you.
