Send welcome Email to new users

How can I send welcome invitation email to a user who has signed up welcoming him/her.

Hi, you can change the existing templates if you want, although this is not supported by Atlassian. 

If you want to add an additional mail, you should take a look for a plugin, or create it yourself with the API.

When a new user has signed up using the signup form,Will they receive an email notification?

@louisdj I dont have access to the server where the confluence instance is running so I used script runner with events to send an email to a new user who has signed up.
