Hello community,
we are showing new events in our intranet dashboard like social running activities exhibitions...
We create events with a template, give them the label event and name them after the following rule: YYYY-MM-DD "Event name"
I set up the dashboard, that it shows up to 10 pages with the event label sorted by date.
Problem: If there are too many events in the future some events that are in the next weeks will not be displayed.
How do you guy's solve this problem?
I have a few questions first:
Thanks for you answers.
Hi @Dominic Lagger ,
I hope this helps you!

If there are too much events in the near future and you can't display more than 10, I don't understand what you want to achieve.
Am I right with this conclusion:
If this ist right, can you explain your whishes again, please?

The problem is it will not show event A to J. It will show event C to L!
And event A & B will not be displayed. it will take the latest date and put it on top.
If I turn around the sort it will display older events. So that is not an option too.

I think I got the problem :)
I tried it out and looked like this:
I've got 14 Events (Event A to M and one event in the past Event ZZ)
I made a page with the "Content By Label" and show only 5. Sorted by Title.
The problem here is, that the old event (Event ZZ) is in the past, but it will show up first.
When I reverse the ordering, it will show up the next events backwords, so the event of tomorrow (Event A) isn't shown.
How To Fix
In this case I see only the option to create new labels ("open" | "past"). Then you could show in the dashboard just the events which are "open". That would mean, you have to change the labels on the page after the event has taken place.
Is this a possible solution for you?

That's exactly what I meant. :)
I was searching for a way to do it without marking every event as past once it's over, but I think you are right. There is no other way to do it, if I don't want to buy something in the market.
Thank you for your time!
