Since our upgrade to confluence 6.1.2 from 6.0.2 mutimedia content such as mp4s do not work.
The following error is displayed on the page:
Error rendering macro 'multimedia' : com.atlassian.renderer.v2.macro.MacroException: Unable to display content of type '.mp4'
We have tried re-adding the content by dragging the file onto the page. It seems to use the view-file macro instead of the multimedia macro now. The problem with the view-file approach is that it does not preview the video content and uses need to click the file to view it.

We have lots of content that did use the mutlimedia macro and we require it to work.
Hi,
The multimedia macro has some issues with certain mp4 videos, depending on the encoding.
There's another question here where they've discussed several solution to a similar problem: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Embedded-mp4-does-not-work-in-any-browser/qaq-p/371772
I think you might be interested in the plugins.html mentioned there: https://bitbucket.org/saselberg/confluence-plugin-macro-html5-multimedia
Best,
Maarten
I have tested the same video on our staging site on 6.1.2 and it works as per before the upgrade.
