Hi,
I'm trying to edit the documents on my confluence page directly rather then using Atlassian companion app.
I have all modules enabled in office connector plugin.
I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks!
Hi @call call ,
Which version of Confluence are you using?
In Confluence 7.3, an admin will need to enable edit in office in the Office Connector settings. See the steps in the our public documentation here.
If using a version before 7.3 you will have to add the "enable.legacy.edit.in.office" dark feature on your instance. Note that not all versions support this dark feature, but 6.13, 6.15, 7.1, 7.2 do.
Note that Confluence does not support using Companion and Edit in Office at the same time, the setting switches between them.

Hi @call call ,
Confluence doesn't have a concept of "archived" pages, however there are a few ways you can workaround this. For example, you could create a new "archive" space and move all pages you would like to archive to that space. Alternatively you can restrict pages you want to consider "archived". Also, note that when you delete a page in Confluence is can still be restored from the space tools, to permanently delete it you need to purge these pages.

Hi @Altynai Kolbaeva ,
Attachment permissions are inherited from the page that the attachment is stored on. If the page does not have specific restrictions then the permissions will come from the space that the page is in. There are no seperate attachment restrictions.
You can edit the page to remove the attachment thumbnail, attachment macro or office macro or attachment link. However, anyone who has access to the page will be able to navigate to the view attachments page and see all attachments.
You could work around this by attaching the file to a different page, then setting the appropriate restrictions on that page. You could use an include page or excerpt include macro to make the attachment visible to the specific users on the original page.

Yes. here is the problem. I need the attachment hide from anyone. The another pages don't work, which contain the information from this page attachments , if I restrict the page.
