Upgrading from 5.10.8 to 6.15 Question

I've consolidated all the distinct action items from all the Upgrade Notes for each version in between.

In V 6.6 the Sql Server Driver is updated. The doc states, "we'll switch you to the new driver automatically, after you upgrade to Confluence 6.6." 

My question is: since we're going straight to 6.15, will I need to do this manually before the upgrade, or will the upgrade installer for V 6.15 take care of this for me?

Hello there!

Chris, the Connie installer will try to proceed with the driver update. If the process is not successful, we need to proceed and manually upgrade the driver, as described here:

Migrate from the jTDS driver to the supported Microsoft SQL Server driver in Confluence 6.4 or later

Here is an excerpt from that page:

When you start Confluence 6.6, Confluence will attempt to switch to the Microsoft JDBC Driver for SQL Server. If this process can't be completed, or if you want to switch to the new driver before upgrading to 6.6, you'll need to follow the steps in this guide to manually migrate to the supported driver.
