I've got an in-house setup of Confluence that has the Active Directory Connector set up for users. As a test run only two of us users have been using it and, while we like it, we want to move to the Cloud version. Initially I don't want to have all 100+ users set up with the Cloud version, just the two who've been working with it and I'll introduce other users via AD later.
So, how do I remove the AD connector yet keep the two of us in there as users so we don't lose connectivity to all of the pages we've put up? Once we've got that set correctly I can work on the migration from on-premises to the Cloud version. If we didn't have a bunch of pages already created I wouldn't bother, but we do.
Thanks so much for any help,
Steve
If the usernames are the same in both the AD and the internal directory, you should be able to just move the internal directory up above the AD one. You can then test to make sure all the associated pages and permissions still work for the two users. Once that is done you can either disable the AD directory or remove it.
Okay, well, the CID* is above AD and has been that way since I put this together - so I'm assuming the perms are good, butt... won't know that until disabling AD... Right? It says here that it's suggested that a user exist only in a single directory - my user is there and is in multiple AD groups as well as "confluence-users" and "confluence-administrators" - does that mean it's in the CID* then?

If your user is both in the CID and the AD and the CID is at the top, then that is the user directory that is used when you log in. You can confirm that by checking what options you have next to the AD, it you have the edit and disable option it means you are not logged in via that directory.
