Which template are you using for Release Notes page in Confluence?

Prithvi Tharun June 18, 2019

Hi,

We are currently using the Documentation theme to manage our company's user guide and FAQs. We are planning to create a separate page for Release Notes and would like to know which would suit the best?

I'm planning to have something like timeline.

PS: I'm new to Confluence.

Hi @Prithvi Tharun ,

Confluence allows you to define and create your own templates. As defined in the article, you need either space administrator or confluence administrator permissions to create one. Once you have it defined, you should be able to use it whenever you need to.

Every organization has a different way of putting together content for Release Notes and so the templates vary accordingly. For example, we have our own template defined for each documentation deliverable. We use these templates whenever we have to create a new page for the next version.

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Sireesha

Thanks a lot!

But, can I use the template I created just for a page?

Hi @Prithvi Tharun

Yeah, you can! Once you have the template defined, you can use it any number of times.

Thanks!
