Why does the new editor not support Hex codes for table colors?

Since the new editor did away with panels, the tables are the next best option when formatting...however, the table colors are limited to 16 or so color options. Why? Can we please get an option to input a Hex code for the sake of branding consistency?

Many of my pages were built in the old editor where we established a color scheme. Recently we have been switching to the new editor as Confluence has been recommending, however, it doesn't have a lot of common-sense formatting abilities that the old editor has. Can we at least get Hex codes back?

Hello there @Gina Palombit!

As I understand, you need more color options for your tables and there is no way around the twenty-one available options.

Currently, there is no other option than what is given within the editor, no hexadecimal selector for colors.

With the situation in mind, I raised a new Suggestion Report. You can check the report here:

Further, if you need to keep using our Legacy Editor, you should be able to. The editor is not going to be removed in the foreseeable future. If you are unable to use it currently, you are able to request it. You can check this blog post for further details:

By using the Legacy Editor, you will be able to use the Panel Macro still. You can check more details about it here:

I hope this helps! Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for that information Diego.

Do you know if future updates will include more colors or the ability to input hex codes?

@Diego Atlassian support is the worst I've experienced. No direct answers, just links to similar issues with no answers. PLEASE DO BETTER FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! We pay a lot to have sub-par service.
