Stephanie Ong October 10, 2019

Hello

We are looking for a way to create cards like in Atlassian.Design in our Confluence. https://atlassian.design/

Anyone have any idea about this whether is it available in Server version ?

Thank You

Stephanie

Hi

Will Scroll view have any conflict with Refined for confluence ?

Thank You

Hey @Stephanie Ong

Though you can use Scroll Viewport and Refined at the same time, they each shine in specific use cases:

Refined applies a theme to make the Confluence view look way better. (friends from Refined, please chime in if this is incorrect). This is really useful if you want some or all of Confluence to look different than it does by default.

Scroll Viewport leaves the Confluence view alone, and creates a new view – a viewport – with a customer URL and theme. This is especially handy if you're looking to give your authors the same Confluence experience they're used to and provide an internal or external site with a different URL that looks completely unique.

What is it you're looking to do?

I think it looks like you're after their Cards & Panels integration.

Hey @ste

Perhaps they used: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216056/refined-spaces-for-confluence-cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

It's hard to tell.

I work with the Scroll Viewport team, and it's also something you can do using our app. Here's our help site with an example: https://help.k15t.com/

Seems like you're just looking to add cards to the normal Confluence view, whereas Scroll Viewport let's you customize everything. Not sure this is exactly what you're looking for.

Hi @Stephanie Ong

I think, there are plugins to do this. I just know Scroll Viewport. With this plugin, you should be able to do it (I think, I'm not a user of viewport).

The other and more complex way would be to create your own CSS. If you are not a HTML/CSS developer, I wouldn't recommend it.

Dominic

Hi

I got this reply from my consultant. Just wondering does this apply to Confluence Server ?

This has been done with Atlassian Confluence Cloud + some modifications on top of it.

It's not a plugin, but features in Confluence.

Thanks
