Reporting on confluence usage for companies unable to use Google analytics?

Hi,

My customers need a tool  with functionality similar to Google analytics in order to issue reports and get statistics on confluence usage - such as trends on spaces, pages etc.

Is there an add-on that can do that other then connecting to Google analytics, because in my case, the customer cannot connect to it (Security reasons). 

Can anyone advise?

Hey Shirley,

I'm not sure what trends you are looking for, although if you enable site activity information you will be able to get information on:

• How many pages and blog posts have been viewed, added or updated over a given period.
• Which spaces are the most popular (most frequently viewed).
• Which spaces are the most active (most frequently edited).
• Which people are the most active contributors/editors of content.

To enable this on your site, if you're using Server:

1. Choose the cog icon , then choose General Configuration under Confluence Administration
2. Choose 'Global Activity' in the 'Administration' section of the left-hand panel

If you are using Cloud, to view space activity stats, the Confluence Usage Stats system plugin must be enabled. You can log a support request to enable this plugin.

For your info, we were informed, that the Confluence Usage Stats system plugin cannot be enabled in the Cloud, it is discontinued. We were directed to a third party plugin available from marketplace.

For those who are on cloud, the add-on Krys is referring to is Analytics for Confluence Cloud. It provides some great usage statistics including both an overview of activity and the details like who has viewed a particular page.
