Share a Link template does not work

We are trying to use the "Share a link" template in Confluence for a url. However, when I paste the link, and try to create, I get a "We can't create that blueprint now" toast error. After whitelisting the url it's still giving us the same issue.

What are some reasons why Sharing a Link would not work in Confluence?

Hi Samuel,

You probably have the "External connections" (In Confluence General Configuration) disabled.
The Shared Link Blueprint needs external connections enabled.

Hi Samuel, do you also have the error null id in com.atlassian.confluence.impl.journal.JournalEntry entry (don't flush the Session afterQuery on exception occurs)?
