Survey and Vote Macro Unable to reset votes

Mike Maxson August 25, 2014

I had read someplace that there was supposed to be a menu in the Tools menu that would allow the survey to be reset. I also read that changing the questions would reset the vote as well. This works as long as the question is not changed back to the original question, or the original votes come back as well.

I see no option under the Tools to reset the votes. How do I enable this?

Hi Mike,

In the plugin page, I could see that you must use the "manager" parameter to be able to see the Tools menu.

This is a comma separated list of usernames to who are allowed to control the survey "menu" bar, e.g. exporting a survey, locking it and resetting its data (the last two are planed features)

As far as I can see, the locking and resetting features are planed features, so I believe they have not been implemented yet.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,

Rodrigo

I dont want to add a new answer again, but the issue has been resolved and the latest version now has a possibility to easily reset a survey

Hi Mike,

i guess half backed answers are not helping that much. I would like to recommend to use the Marketplace link (Marketplace -> plugin -> support -> atlassian answers), it would have added the tag for this plugin and maybe i could have helped you out (i have added them now, as its possible with the new system).

the Improvement request is onging: https://github.com/drohne1673/confluence-survey-plugin/issues/14 and there are some workarounds to achieve this otherwise.

cheers

Hello Rodrigo,

I tried that. It still does not give me a menu option to reset the results under the Tools menu. I see a Lock checkbox in the macro parameters so that may be implemented. But I see nothing for resetting the vote data.

How could the developer release a plugin that can not reset data without copying the page? Silly.

Thank you for answering my question, but I gave up on this plugin and have downloaded Adaptavist Survey Plugin. It takes more effort to use but it can do more.
