The Atlassian Keyboard Shortcut Documentation does not list the keyboard shortcut for the 'Merge Table Cells' function.
If such a shortcut does not exist, then this question is intended as a request,

Please note that it is incredibly frustrating to try to create a table with nested merged cells without this 4-year-old feature request.
