I believe you might be facing this bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-29639
The workaround for now is to create a widget and then embed the HTML from that widget in a Confluence page with the {\html} macro. as said here.

When I include the Widget from Twitter inside the html macro and preview the page I see the Twitter Feed in the Preview Page. However after saving the page it looks like the following:
I do not see the feed in the saved page
