Hi,

Use the Style macro and hide the download button:

.vf-controls .left
{display: none;}

But user still be able to download it on the attachment page.

Sorry I should have elaborated, specific PDF's we want to prevent from downloading only visible in the embedded viewer.

basically we want to use the PDF macros to embed the document but the content is sensitive and so restricting the download button is required.

This doesn't seem to be an option so we have simply added a rewrite rule on the apache2 server to redirect those requests for those specific files.

If you disable downloads, people won't be able to see the stuff in the attachments.
