draw.io diagrams embedded on a page appear tiny when editing the page

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
After publishing a page with a draw.io diagram embedded, then going back to edit the page, the diagram is sometimes shown with an unusably small size.
During initial edits, diagrams appear correctly sized.
It looks like this when editing after being published:
I can select "original" for the diagram, then it looks correct in the edit view again, but it is annoying to have to do that ever time the page is edited.
Interestingly, even with the diagrams shown as above during edit, the page looks correct during preview and is ok when published again.
Is this a known issue? Is there any solution or workaround?
