I want to tag a confluence user group in a page. please advise.
Hey Atlassian, any update on this? Any plans to implement this or is this specifically not going to happen?

I believe this is now possible. I just created a team alias in Confluence for @mentions.

@Ankur Parekh can you please elaborate as I'm trying to tag a group in Calendars but I'm not successful? Thanks in advance.

@julio valdez -- Did you create the user group? You can then tag them the same way you tag individual users. HTH.

Team tagging works and is nice but you can only mention teams you are part of. At least in the free version. That's a bummer since we sometimes need to mention our different teams and it's no good to put us in every team for this purpose.
For our kind of usage teams technically would have to be shortcuts to mention multiple users.

@Kristopher Will & @Ankur Parekh Please can someone explain how this group mention/tag works in Confluence?? I created the group and I'm in it. But I still can't seem to make it work. Help!? Thank you so much in advance!

@Pollyana Catugy for me it works the same way as mentioning a single person: type @ and start typing the team's name. The suggestions list will filter and you can choose the team name (which says "Team - 2 Members including you" for me) and it will create a link to the team as well as mention all members in parenthesis.

Thank you @Kristopher Will I wonder if some accounts don't have that option, as I tried that and the team name doesn't show up. :(

Hi, it doesn't work for me: I tried to a group using @ +the name of a group created in my confluence instance but it doesn't work.
Could you please give more explanation on how to set it up please?

@Pollyana Catugy -- ask your IT admin, in case it's a permission issue. Include the screenshots here, so that we can help.

@Valerie Scibetta the Confluence link is super confusing with no applicable screenshots. So, I had a hard time figuring this out as well. Here is the issue: Confluence allows for Teams & Groups. But these are NOT the same. If you create a Team you CAN tag them in your posts. If you create a Group you will NOT be able to tag. Did you create a Group or a Team? Happy to assist further, as I was finally able to figure this one out.

@Pollyana Catugy Thanks for your reply but we do not use Cloud version but server version (until we migrate to something else) and I don't see how to set up teams there

Check out our "GroupMentions" app for Atlassian Confluence (Server and Data Center), it may solve your notification problem:

Hello,
Thanks for your email and for the solution provided.
Nevertheless, this is on the marketplace, again and again... Could solutions to needed features be native without needing to buy new add-ons?
Have a nice day,
Valerie

For some reason Atlassian has no interest in implementing this functionality, that was the reason i decided to offer an addon :-)

Hey Siddartha,
You can only specify individual users using '@'. You can add more users using comma separation. Hope to see this feature request in upcoming releases.

I cannot use '@' to tag a user group. Is there any special character to tag a group?

It is not possible to user the @-tag or another special character to tag a whole group. You can only use the share function to share a page to a group!

Hello there,
What you mean by tag a team? You can mention an user to a page, and we do have a feature request already open so you have the ability to extend mention to groups as you can see here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-23015
At this moment, we can't mention groups.
Cheers,
WZ

Hi,
you can not use the @-tag to mention a whole group.
But it is possible to "Share" a page with a user group.
Congrats
Alex
