page version shows decimal

Jason Green September 28, 2018

Hi All,

I'm using the scroll add-on to version one of my spaces and now I have random pages showing decimal points in their locations (URLs), even when the page heading itself contains no such decimal point. This is ruining my dynamic linking on my home page (using content by label macro)... Help?

Hi @Jason Green,

Scroll Versions saves each version of a page as a child page of the master page, with the same title prefixed with a dot and suffixed with the version name:
.<pagetitle> v<versionname>, e.g. .Glossary v3.0.

Those pages are called dot-pages.

This is a normal behavior when a page is versioned (was edited in a specific space version). You can read more about dot-pages on our Glossary page: https://help.k15t.com/scroll-versions/latest/glossary-144802096.html#id-.Glossaryv3.9-Dot-pages.

Roman.

Hi Jason,

In native Confluence, the Page's URL will match up with it's Title (the exception is if there are special characters), however if you have the Scroll Versions added to your instance, it'll allow you to set a Custom Permalink on the page overwriting what Confluence would natively use.

If you edit this page, is there an option to adjust the Permalink as shown in Scroll Versions Documentation

Cheers,
Shawn
