I want continous numbering however if i include a "non-numbered" line, confluence (Jira) will reset the next line back to numbering starting from "1"

note: i already tried "shift_enter" before and after the non-numbered line

doesn't work.

example:

# this is the first numbered line - "1"

# this is the next numbered line - "2"

this is not a numbered line

#this line resets to number "1"

Did you add a space in between each line? I just tested on a test instance and if you don't add any spaces, the numbering continues correctly.

Hi Daniel - no line spaces before and after the non-numbered line
the previous line however is a table

| |Pass ___ / ___ Fail| <--this line is part of a table

non-numbered line

# numbered line
