Safe to Uninstall Hipcheck Plugins?

Hello:

Recently upgraded our Confluence instances to 8.5.3 LTS and noticed a few Hipchat errors in the logs . Investing this discovered Hipchat was discontinued in 2019 so the question is, can all the Hipchat apps be uninstalled? The four apps are...

  • Atlassian Hipchat Integration Plugin

  • Atlassian Hipchat Integration Plugin Core

  • Confluence Hipchat Integration Plugin

  • Confluence HipChat Plugin

Thanks,

Jonny

Thanks @Dave Mathijs . I've read that link and this one as well only and they describe disabling.

Haven't found anything that spells out uninstalling but I plan to do it after a period running with them disabled and don't see any issues.

Hi @Jonny Polivka

Generally for first party tooling, which hipchat is, you only want to disable. Only third party apps should be removed.

Best,

Clark
