We currently have a space that we are using as a document library. The space has several pages, each containing several attachment macros that hold PDF documents as attachments. When you "View" an attachment, the PDF opens in the browser normally and my question is: Is there a way to search the document while in View mode? I know you canleave comments, browse through different versions, zoom in and out, but I cant seem to find a way to search the document text. Ctrl/CMD F does not work.
Is there a workaround, trick of the trade, or perhaps some VB code I can add to make searching inside the attached document possible?
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Well, that's not a great experience with Confluence. I've had a look at there's an open Suggestion for it here
* https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-40333
I'd suggest that you go and vote for and comment on the bug report.
The workaround in the bug worked for me in Chrome
There are currently two workarounds:
In your preferred browser, lookup the Find menu in your browser options and select it
Download the attachment locally and search in it
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
James.
